As one of the founding Partners and the Partner-in-Charge of HFR, Mike Rossi performs a wide variety of services for clients and employees alike. His strong passion for architecture is evident in his work from the past 30 years of commercial design. His projects span from retail shopping centers, medical and surgical facilities, and office buildings to building reuse and renovation, restaurants, and master planning. Mike contributes to all phases of design, coordination and construction for a multitude of diverse projects. He spends the majority of his time with building reuse and renovation projects with particular attention to design direction and quality control management. With Mike being a “nuts and bolts” type of architect, he strives to solve the unique puzzle given by clients. His gleaning of information plays a vital role in his ability to construct projects with the perspective of the client in mind. Coming from a family of artists, he recognizes the importance of learning the art behind mastering code and diplomacy. Mike teaches younger architects how to piece together concepts given by a client and transform them into designs with alluring appeal and sensibility. He encourages those around him to learn something new every day, challenge their minds and sharpen their skills whenever possible.
