Madison County Georgia Human Services Building
June 2021 – Danielsville, GA – Located in the designated seat of historical Madison County, the Georgia Department of Human Services will house a Division of Family and Children Services in Danielsville, GA.
HFR is proud to partner again with Municipal Development Services, LLC and General Contractor J.K. Lockwood to complete another DFCS facility. This project when completed will be the fifth such facility completed by this A/E/C and developer team in the past nine years.
The goal of the project was to provide a state-of-the-art commercial facility, replacing the existing facility and providing a more dignified & prominent presence for the county. The building also was detailed with vernacular forms that exist around Danielsville such as the historical Danielsville City Hall.
The building design uses a mix of exterior materials such as an exterior finish insulation system with masonry accents around the building to complement its surrounding area. HFR provided Architectural and Structural design services teaming with Fagan Engineering Services for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing design.
The 13,800 square-foot building is being constructed to operate as a Class A commercial office structure. It will include ancillary support spaces such as Interview Rooms and Huddle Rooms along with a Staff Break Room, Large Conference Room, Family Team Room and Children’s Room.
The interior of the building is being constructed along with site work at the present moment. The anticipated completion date for the project is on track for the end of this Summer. We look forward to Madison County being able to support their community with a new Department of Family and Children’s service facility.
Check back later this Summer for the completed project posting!
